| Consistent as both a blocker and pass-catcher the past three years, Spaeth has the ability to be a number two tight end at the next level. |
| Biography: |
Four-year starter who’s been an All-Conference selection since his
sophomore campaign. Senior totals included 47/564/4 despite playing
with a major shoulder injury during the second half of the season.
Junior totals were 26/333/4.
Pos:
Efficient tight end with an all-around game. Solid pass-catcher who
consistently works to get separation, looks the ball into his hands
and takes a pounding yet holds onto the throw. Uses his frame to
shield away opponents, extends, and consistently makes the reception
away from his body. Tough, intelligent and plays through pain. Solid
position blocker who bends his knees, stays square and works hard.
Neg:
Not explosive at the point nor a tight end who finishes blocks.
Lacks the speed to split the seams or create mismatches in the
secondary. May not be 100% from his shoulder surgery for a while. |
