Verdell Jones Gets 20 in Front of Tubby Smith

Verdell Jones scores 20 in upset win		By Chris Monter Date: Mar 8, 2008 Verdell Jones, a 6-foot-4 point guard from Champaign (IL) Central who is considering Minnesota, had 20 points to lead the Maroons to a 65-63 upset over Decatur Eisenhower in the Mount Zion Sectional finals. Eisenhower entered the game 29-0 and ranked #20 in the country by USA Today. The game attracted Minnesota head coach Tubby Smith and assistant Vince Taylor, whose team plays Illinois Saturday.
