Hopkins Rolls to 79-41 Win in Shootout

Minnetonka (MN) Hopkins showed why they are ranked among the top teams in the country as they jumped out to 50-15 halftime lead as they rolled to a 79-41 win over Lake Geneva Badger in the fourth game of the Timberwolves Shootout. The Royals are currently ranked #20 by USA Today, #22 in the ESPN RISE FAB 50 boys' basketball rankings and #10 by MaxxAthlete High School Top 25.

Hopkins scored the first six points of the game, but Badger cut the margin to 8-7. However, the Royals outscored their Wisconsin opponents 42-8 the rest of the half.

Royce White, who signed with Minnesota, led all scorers with 15 points on six of nine shooting. He added six rebounds. Marvin Singleton, a 6-foot-4 sophomore, added 10 points. Trent Lockett, who is headed to Arizona State, and sophomore Joe Coleman had nine points each.

Lake Geneva Badger was led by 6-foot senior Braden Tice with six points.
