The Big Ten is off to a solid start in football recruiting. One-hundred-sixty-one players have already committed to Big Ten schools so far. Illinois leads the way with 24 commitments. Purdue has moved into second place with 22 commitments as the Boilermakers have gotten 11 verbals in the past three weeks. Minnesota has 20 with three recent additions. Iowa has 15 verbals and Michigan State and Michigan have 13 commitments. Indiana and Wisconsin have 12 verbals.
