Howard Pulley, which finished 4-1 in the Boo Williams Invitational, defeated YOMCA (Memphis) 66-62 in the opening game of the EBYL held in Houston. They will face the Tennessee Travelers and the Albany City Rocks tomorrow.

Howard Pulley was led by Zack Lofton with 19 points. Lofton was my choice for the Sabes Invitational MVP last weekend. Joe Coleman had 16 points and Isaiah Zierden added twelve. Siyani Chambers had seven points, including six straight free throw down the stretch to seal the victory. Marvin Singleton had six points and did a good job defensively against the bigger YOMCA frontcourt.
