What schools are you hearing from now?
, obviously. I am building a great relationship with them. Michigan State
, Iowa, a little of Kansas
. It is going well. Harvard. A bunch of out East schools. It's going really well and I am really enjoying Minnesota and it is fun to come down here for practices and meet with the coaches and build that relationship. It is a process. I am trying to find the best fit for me."
What offers do you have right now?
"I have one offer from Minnesota and I got an offer from Harvard. It is Ivy League, so it is a little bit different. So, two right now. A lot of them are interested. A lot want me at camp, so we'll see."
What camps are you planing on attending this summer?
"I have some penciled in. I don't have any for sure yet. Possibly Iowa State
, their one-day camp. They really want to see me down at that. Maybe a day at Wisconsin. Nebraska
have been showing a lot of interest. I might be going to a camp at one of those. So, I really don't know exactly yet, but I am trying to play that out now."
When are you hoping to make your college choice?
"Hopefully, I want to make a decision before the season, if at all possible, so that I can really be focusing on my season and not have this. If that doesn't happen, if I don't make that decision, it is not going to be a big deal."
Are you playing any other sports now?
"I just work out. I used to play football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse. I stopped playing those and just work out at Game Speed Football Academy and just work it hard, because I knew that this is my dream and my goal and I got to go for it."
Have you seen a big difference from last year, due to the training?
"Oh, yea. Working really hard. I train with a bunch of guys that are on this team (Minnesota) right now. I'm definitely seeing myself getting bigger and stronger."
What would you like to weigh this year?
"This season, I'd like to play at 220 –225 pounds. I've really worked on my speed, though. I want to be as fast as I possibly can, because the game is about speed now."
