Tom Olson Firmly Committed to Minnesota

Tom Olson, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound junior guard from Mahtomedi who committed to Minnesota last January, still continues to attract interest from several top programs. Olson comes from a football family. His father, Ed, played for Minnesota from 1980-82 and older brother Ed Jr. is a redshirt freshman. GoldenSports.Net caught up with Olson to learn about his expectations for the upcoming season.

Tom Olson was named to the Kare-11 and Star Tribune All-Metro team as he helped lead the Zephyrs to a 10-2 mark, losing to St. Thomas Academy 20-15 in the state quarterfinals after leading 15-6. Olson will be a four-year starter for Mahtomedi. He has high hopes for the team in his final high school season. "Everyone wants to win a state championship," Olson said.
