Mychael Henry gets Minnesota interest

Mychael Henry, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound junior forward from Chicago (IL) Orr Academy, has drawn the interest of Minnesota. Gopher assistant coach Vince Taylor recently paid a visit to Chicago to see Henry and his coach Louis Adams. Henry has some familiarity with Minnesota after watching them beat Illinois in Champaign.

Mychael Henry has received scholarship offers from Illinois, Wisconsin, Fairfield, Illinois State, Loyola-Chicago, Indiana State, Baylor and Nevada and has received interest from Marquette, Georgetown and Minnesota.

Henry was named to the 76th annual Normandy Holiday All-Tournament last December as he averaged 30.3 points per game in the tournament and had a 46-point game in the Spartans' 86-79 victory over Cardinal Ritter in the third-place game.

Henry plays for the rising Stars AAU program and is an "A" student.
