Hopkins Defeats Forest Lake 75-51

Joe Coleman leads Hopkins to first round win

Hopkins, the top seed, rolled to a 75-51 victory over Forest Lske in the opening game of the Class AAAA. The Ryoals scored the first eleven points of the game and led 39-18 at halftime. Hopkins has improved to 28-2 with the victory and will face the winner of Henry Sibley-Eastview tomorrow night at 6:00 at the Tsrget Center.

Joe Coleman scored 16 of his 24 points in the first half to pace the Royals. He made eleven of 17 from the field and two of four from beyond the arc. He added twelve rebounds. Marvin Singleton had 15 points and seven boards and D.J. Peterson chipped in with 13 points.

Zach Riedeman was the only double figure scorer for the Rangers. He made nine of 17 shots from the field and three of six three-pointers as he finished with 23 points.
