Ross Windfeldt Talks Recruitment
Widfeldt told GoldenSports.Net that he enjoyed his time in San Antonio.
"It was good. It was fun down there. Everybody there was fast and strong. It was humbling and it was also good to see what things I have to work on compared to better players. I need to work on my speed around the outside rush."
Windfeldt attended the Minnesota-Purdue homecoming game and the Wisconsin-Iowa contest. The junior is starting to attract recruiting interest.
"I've been getting letters from a lot of schools. Hand-written letters from Minnesota.
Windfeldt said that he plans to attend some football camps this summer.
"I plan on going to the Gopher one and the Badger one. Besides that I don't know."
Windfeldt also participates on the Tigers' teack and field team.
"I throw the discus and the shot, mainly the shot. It was only my first year of doing it, but my best was 40 feet."
Windfeldt has been working hard to get ready for his senior season.
"I have just been working out. I have a workout program here called "Heat" at the orthopedic center. It covers pretty much everything; cardio, plyometrics and a lot of strength training stuff."
Windfeldt said that the team has some key players to replace this fall.
"We are losing a lot of seniors, but we have a pretty solid junior class. We have all of our lineman except for one. We lose two wide receivers and a quarterback. Our wide receivers will be fine. Quarterback, I am not so sure about."
Windfeldt hopes that the Tigers can regain their winning ways this upcoming fall.
"I think that it will be definitely better than last year. I don't know if it will be like the last three years when we won nine games, but I definitely think it will be better. 7-3 maybe."
