Purdue tied the best start in school history, moving to 14-0 for the second time in school history and the first since the 1993-94 season as the #4 Boilermakers defeated Minnesota at home 79-60. Robbie Hummel and E'Twaun Moore both scored 18 points.

Purdue had four players scored in double figures, including a game-high 18 points from Robbie Hummel and E'Twaune Moore. Hummel had 11 rebounds, three assists and three blocks, and Moore had five assists. JaJuan Johnson had 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, and Chris Kramer added a season-high 15 points for the Boilermakers. The Boilermakers shot 52% from the field and outscored the Golden Gophers 27-16 from the free-throw line.

Minnesota was held to just 31% shooting from the field. Paul Carter scored 15 points and Damian Johnson added 12 for Minnesota (11-4, 2-1), which had won seven straight.

Minnesota led 24-20, but Purdue made a 15-4 run, capped off by a Kramer three=pointer at the buzzer. Purdue shot 65 percent from the field in the second half.
