Florida RB Devon Wright commits to Minnesota

Devon Wright, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound running back from Coral Springs (FL) Taravella, has committed to Minnesota, according to sources close to his recruitment. Wright visited Minnesota October 31st and was at Rutgers this past weekend.

Devon Wright rushed for 1,529 yards and 16 touchdowns. He caught seven passes for 161 yards and one score. Wright rushed for 1,622 yards and 19 touchdowns including a 216 yard performance against Deerfield Beach as a junior.

Wright also considered Connecticut, Florida International, Boston College, Purdue, Indiana Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Troy and Rutgers.

Wright is the 27th commitment for Minnesota.
