Eighth Grader Tyus Jones Attracts Early Looks

Tyus Jones, a 6-foot, eighth grade point guard from Apple Valley, is considered one of the state's top players in the Class of 2014. Minnesota head coach Tubby Smirh and director of operations Joe Esposito attended the Eagles' season opener versus St. Louis Park. GoldenSports.Net watched Jones play Lakeville South as he finished with eleven points, 13 assists and seven rebounds in a 75-62 win.

Tyus Jones helped lead the Magic Elite to the 14-and-under title in Orlando and he was named MVP. Jones comes from a basketball family.
