Lamonte Edwards, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound LB/RB from Woodbury who committed to Minnesota in March, bounced back from a high ankle sprain to rush 23 times for 169 yards and four touchdowns shined for the Royals in their 39-12 win over Forest Lake. Lamonte Edwards had rushed 53 times for 381 yards (7.2 yards per carry) with seven rushing touchdowns. He finished with 163 yards and three scores on the offensive side in their season-opening win over East Ridge and had two sacks, four tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles, despite playing less than half of the game on the defensive end.
