Nate Triplett named Walter Camp Player of the Week

Minnesota senior linebacker Nate Triplett was named The Walter Camp Football Foundation Bowl Championship Subdivision National Defensive Player of the Week. He had a career-high 17 tackles and returned a fumble 52 yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Golden Gophers came-from-behind to defeat Air Force, 20-13. Triplett, who had 12 solo tackles, added a pass break up.

Nate Triplett and Houston quarterback Case Keenum earned weekly honors as The Walter Camp Football Foundation Bowl Championship Subdivision National Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for games ending September 12.

This is the sixth year that the Walter Camp Football Foundation will honor one offensive and one defensive player as its national Bowl Subdivision player of the week during the regular season. Recipients are selected by a panel of national media members and administered by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
