Minnesota Pump N Run Teams Advance in Iowa
Kevin Noreen scores 16 in playoff win

The Minnesota Pump N Run 17 and 16-and-under team both won their first round playoff game at the USSSA Midwest Festival of Teams held in Ankeny, Iowa. Both teams won their pool play games easily and will continue playoff action tomorrow.
The Minnesota Pump N Run 17-and-under team defeated the J Hawks 68-36 as
Dyami Starks
of Duluth East led the team with 17 points. Carlos Emory added ten points and Aaron anderson had nine.
They defeated the MSB Roadruunners 74=35 as Emory had 19 points. Starks had 18 and
Jake Kreuser
had ten.
They beat the Minnesota Magic Elite 62-51 as Emory and
Kevin Noreen
scored 16 points each. They will face the Midwest Stars tomorrow at 11:30.
Pump N Run is without Steve Tecker, who had prom and Johnathon Crockett this weekend.
The 16-and-under team defeated the Wizards Den Super Hoopers 61-25 as Alex Ritcher, a 6-foot-6 forward of Lakeville South, scored twelve points. Kyle Noreen of Minnesota Transitions had ten points.
Jonah Travis
, a 6-foot-6 forward of Minneapolis De La Salle and Jason Perkins, a 6-foot-4 guard from Shapokee, added eight points each.
They beat the Minnesota Comets 69-24 as Ritcher had 19 points. Aaron Ziman of St. Louis Park had eleven points and Travis finished with nine.
They won their first round playoff matchup 68-36 as Ritcher had a team-best 18 points,
Shelby Moats
from Waconia had 13 and Travis added ten. Norren had nine points and a great defensive game, according to Pump N Run assistant coach Mike Leuer.
