Michael Carter Switches Commitment to Gophers

Michael Carter, a 5-foot-11, 154-pound cornerback from Pompano Beach (FL) Ely, has signed a letter of intent with Minnesota. Carter had committed to West Virginia during the 2008 U.S. Army All-American game, but deicded to join Minnesota after receiving a recent visit from Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster. His cousin Tyrone Carter was a two-time All-America performer for Minnesota in 1998-1999.
