Commit Josh Campion Named All-Conference

Josh Campion, a 6-foot-4, 260-pound offensive tackle from Fergus Falls (MN) High, was the first player to commit to Minnesota for the Class of 2009. Campion led the Otters to a 10-1 mark, losing to St. Michael-Albertville 32-14 in the Class AAAA Section 8 finals. GoldenSports.Net caught up with him to learn the latest on this star lineman.

Josh Campion led the Otters to a 10-1 mark, an improvement on their 3-6 record in 2007. Campion was honored for his strong season, according to Fergus Falls head coach Richard Risbrudt.

"Josh was named All-Conference in the Central Lakes Conference this year and was one of two players endorsed by the Central Lakes Conference as a nominee for the Mr. Minnesota Football award. (The other player was Colby Ring of Brainerd)," Risbrudt said.

"Last spring, Josh was also nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl played in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 3, but we haven't heard from that. They nominate 400 players in the country and pick 90."
