Trevor Mbakwe to visit Minnesota this weekend

Trevor Mbakwe, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward who left Marquette before the start of the school year and transferred to Miami-Dade (FL) CC, will visit Minnesota this weekend for Tubby's Tip-Off. Mbakwe is getting interest from Miami, Alabama, LSU and Minnesota, according to Miami-Dade head coach Matt Eisele.

Trevor Mbakwe, who had a 2.9 GPA at Marquette, has lived in Florida and Georgia before he moved to Minnesota. Mbakwe was expected to be a key contributor last season as a freshman, but was declared out for the year after suffering a knee injury in practice.
