Moses Alipate Faces Eden Prairie in Opener

Moses Alipate, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound quarterback from Bloomington (MN) Jefferson, committed to Minnesota in February. Jefferson will open its season against Eden Prairie for the second straight year. The Jaguars fell to the defending state champions 49-10 last year as Alipate was under heavy pressure as he rushed 14 times for 13 yards and completed 10 of 20 passes for 62 yards.

Jefferson finished 2-7 last season, losing to Prior Lake in the first round of the playoffs.
