Ex-Gopher Otis Hudson lands at Eastern Illinois

Otis Hudson, a 6-foot-5 offensive lineman, who played 2006 and 2007 seasons at Minnesota, has landed at Eastern Illinois. Hudson, who redshirted the 2005 season, played in four games as a reserve defensive lineman in 2007 before moving to offensive line. Hudson appeared in five games in 2006.

Otis Hudson, who played at Barrington, Ill., High School, is one of three former Big Ten transfer joining Eastern Illinois.

D' Angelo McCray is a 6-4, 333 lb., defensive tackle transfer from Illinois. He redshirted as a member of the Fighting Illini Rose Bowl team last season. McCray played at Andrew Jackson HS in Jacksonville, Fla., and was a second team All-American by USA Today. He was a five-star recruit, ranking as the fourth best defensive tackle nationally by Scout.com.

Austin Signor is a 6-4, 230 lb., kicker transferring from Iowa. He is a redshirt junior who handled a majority of the kickoffs for the Hawkeyes last season. Signor is 5-of-8 on career field goals and 13-of-15 on career PAT's. He played at Urbandale High School in Iowa.

Eastern Illinois has been ranked in several FCS preseason polls as the Panthers are coming off an 8-4 season and third consecutive trip to the NCAA FCS playoffs. EIU opens the regular-season on August 28 at Central Michigan.
