Colton Iverson Leads Yankton to Fifth Place

Gopher signee Colton Iverson helped lead Yankton to a fifth place finish in the South Dakota State AA Boys Basketball Tournament. Iverson was named to the all-tournament team after finishing with 77 points and 51 rebounds in three games.

Colton Iverson had 36 points and 15 rebounds, but it was not enough as Yankton, S.D., fell to fourth seed Mitchell 61-59 in their first-round game. Iverson made 16 of 22 shots from the field and was four of eight from the free throw line. Mitchell utilizied their outside shooting to compete with the bigger Yankton team, making 14 three-pointers in the win.

Iverson made four of eight from the field and six of seven from the line as he finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds in a 51-30 win over Sturgis in consolation play.

Iverson made 10 of 18 shots and seven of 10 from the charity stripe as he finished with 27 points and 20 rebounds in their 56-48 win over Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the fifth place game. Recommended Stories
