Colton Iverson Leads Yankton to State Tourney

Gopher signee Colton Iverson had 15 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots to help lead Yankton to the Region 1AA title with a 38-37 win over Brookings to advance to the State AA Boys Basketball State Tournament. The Bucks are the fifth seed and will face fourth seed Mitchell next Thursday at 2:45 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City.

Colton Iverson had 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots in a 47-35 loss at Mitchell January 3rd. He had a season-best 30 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks in a 64-52 home win over Mitchell February 12th.

If Yankton wins, they will face the winner of Sioux Falls Lincoln (18-4)-Sturgis (8-14) Friday.
