RB Jake Ferris will Walk-On at Minnesota

Jake Ferris, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back from Hartland (WI) Arrowhead, is going to be a preferred walk-on at Minnesota. Ferris led Arrowhead to a Wisconsin Division One State Championship title as he rushed 31 times for 206 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-7 win over Mequon Homestead. GoldenSports.Net caught up with Ferris to learn the latest on his decision.

Jake Ferris finished the season with 1,792 yards and 36 touchdowns, both school and county records, as he led the Warhawks to a 14-0 mark. Ferris opened the scoring in the game with a one-yard run with 11:27 left the second quarter. He closed the scoring with a 78-yard run with 1:52 left in the 3rd quarter.
