Hopkins Defeats Dematha 73-66

Minnetonka (MN) Hopkins remained undefeated as they beat Hyattsville (MD) DeMatha 73-66 at the Timberwolves Shootout. Hopkins suffered their only regular season loss last season at the 2007 Timberwolves Shootout to Campbell Hall 71-61 in last year's Timberwolves Shootout.

Raymond Cowels, a 6-foot-4 junior forward, led the Royals with 26 points, including three three-pointers. Trent Lockett, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound junior guard/forward who committed to Arizona State, had 16 points and Mike Broghammer, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound junior forward, added eleven.

DeMatha was led by 29 points from 6-foot-5 junior Naji Hibbert and 20 points from 6-foot-2 sophomore Josh Selby. Quinn Cook added ten points off the bench.
