Ra'shede Hageman Sees Season End in Playoffs
Hageman caught 24 passes for 506 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore. His best game of the his sophomore season was in a 42-13 win over St. Paul Johnson in the Twin Cities championship game. He caught three passes for 145 yards and one score.
Hageman averaged 9.0 points per game for the Millers, who finished 17-10 last year, losing to Benidle St. Margaret in the section finals. Hageman scored in double figures in eight games, including a season-high 26 points versus Minneapolis Roosevelt. He had 17 points in their upset win over Minneapolis Patrick Henry in the section semifinals.
Hageman played for the Howard Pulley 16-and-under AAU basketball team this spring and summer.
He is hearing from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, Notre Dame, Stanford, Wake Forest, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Duke and Connecticut in football.
Dayton, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Iowa State, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Northern Iowa and Wisconsin are among the schools that are recruiting the two-sport star in basketball.
Despite the playoff loss, Washburn figures to be one of the top teams in Class AAAA next year as they return Hagemen and quarterback Brandon King.
