Brendan Kelly de-commits from Minnesota

Brendan Kelly, a 6-foot-6, 234-pound defensive end from Richfield (MN) Academy of Holy Angeles, has de-committed from Minnesota, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Kelly committed to Minnesota in March, but visited Wisconsin two weeks ago. However after the visit, Kelly said that he was committed to the Gophers.

Brendan Kelly led the Stars to a 6-4 mark, losing to St. Thomas 29-16 in the second orund of the section playoffs. They finished 5-2 in the Missota Conference. Kelly finished 104 tackles (33 solos tackles and 71 assists) and eight sacks.

Kelly helped lead the Stars to a 6-5 mark and 3-4 record in the Missota Conference as a junior. He finished with 108 (68 solo tackles and 40 assists) total tackles and eight sacks. Kelly broke up 13 passes, forced four fumbles and blocks three punts.
