Duane Bennett is Offensive Player of the Week

Duane Bennett, a 5-foot-9, 195-pound freshman running back, was named GoldenSports.net/Outback Steakhouse's Gopher Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season and second consecutive week for his efforts in their 34-10 loss to Michigan. His strong play has been important for the Gophers with Amir Pinnix slowed by turf toe and Jay Thomas out for the year with a knee injury.

Duane Bennett was named GoldenSports.net/Outback Steakhouse's Gopher Offensive Player of the Week after gaining 106 yards on 20 carries, his first 100-yard rushing game, and caught three passes for nine yards.

Bennett has has rushed 65 times this season for 321 yards (4.9 yards per carry).

There are eleven Outback Steakhouse locations in Minnesota: Bloomington, Burnsville, Coon Rapids, Eden Prairie, Hermantown, Inver Grove Heights, Maplewood, Rochester, Roseville, St. Cloud and Woodbury.
