Desi Steib is GSN/VAG Player of the Week

Desi Steib, a 6-foot, 195-pound senior right cornerback from Vacherie, La., was named GoldenSports.Net/Valley Automotive Group Gopher Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the game versus Purdue. Steib finished with a career-best eleven tackles in the 45-31 loss.

Desi Steib, who won the GoldenSports.Net/Valley Automotive Group Gopher Defensive Player of the Week, had eleven unassisted tackles in the 45-31 loss to Purdue. His previous high was seven tackles versus California. Ironically, Steib did not have a tackle in the team's first three games.

Steib started four games as a junior and has started two of four games this season.
