Jamal Harris is GSN/VAG Player of the Week

Jamal Harris, a 6-foot, 185-pound senior cornerback, was named GoldenSports.Net/Valley Automotive Group Gopher Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the game versus Miami of Ohio. Harris finished with two interceptions (including one in the third overtime), a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the 41-35 triple overtime win.

Jamal Harris, who won the GoldenSports.Net/Valley Automotive Group Gopher Defensive Player of the Week, appeared in all 13 games with eight starts as a junior. Harris made 50 tackles (36 solo) and tied for second on the team with three interceptions.

Harris started all 12 games as a sophomore, recording 63 tackles (41 solo), a half tackle-for-loss and eight pass breakups. He ranked third on the team in total tackles.
