Jeff Bowlsby, a 6-foot-2, 218-pound linebacker form Eden Prairie (MN) High, helped the Eagles to a 14-0 mark and a Class 5A title as a junior. Bowlsby and his Eagles teammates rolled to a 49-10 win in the season opener over Bloomington Jefferson. GoldenSports.Net caught up with Bowlsby to learn the latest on his recruitment.

Jeff Bowlsby attended the Minnesota Gopher camp this past July and is hearing from several top schools.

"I've heard a lot from Stanford, Illinois and Michigan State. Minnesota, I've heard from a little bit. I headed out to the East Coast and went to Penn. My brother goes there. He is a junior and he wrestles there. It's just coming along, rolling along here. Right now, I'm just really focused on getting another state championship."

Bowlsby said that he has yet to receive a scholarship offer, but plans to attend several college games this season.

"I'll make it to a few Minnesota games here and there," he said.

"You are always training. You are always looking to add. We have workouts every weekend," he said. "We have an in-season program too. We have a good group of guys together and we get a workout in. We are always looking forward and trying to get better."
