Five MN 17 AAU Teams Will Play in Kingwood
Andrew Brommer will play for 43 Hoops in Houston

The five Minnesota 17-and-under AAU teams will participate in Houston's Kingwood Classic this weekend. These teams will attract the attention of many Division I coaches in attendance and several players’ recruitment is expected to hit another level as 300 teams will be playing in the 17-and-under division.
The Howard Pulley Panthers finished as the bronze division champions of the Boo Williams Invitational. They were 4-2 in the tournament and led by guard
Angelo Johnson
of Stoneridge Prep, who was their leading scorer in the tournament. Johnson recently committed to
USC
.
Sophomore forwards
Royce White
of Minneapolis De LaSalle and
Rodney Williams
will likely gain the attention of coaches from across the country after shining this past season.
Wisconsin commits
Jordan Taylor
of Benidle-St. Margaret and sophomore
Jared Berggren
of Princeton, Jerome Vaughn from Minneapolis Henry,
Carrington Tankson
of Osseo, Benidle-St. Margaret's Armond Battle, Fritz Waldvogel of St. Thomas Academy, Max VanOrdstrand from Burnsville and sophomore Mike Broghammer from Hopkins make up the rest of the Howard Pulley roster.
Howard Pulley faces Athletes First (OK) at 8:50 Friday evening and Indiana Elite at 11:30 on Saturday.
The other Howard Pulley 17-amd-under team will face the Kent Hornets at 10:00 Friday and the Dallas Heroes at 12:40 Saturday.
The Minnesota Magic Elite, led by
Michael Floyd
and
John Nance
of Cretin-Derham Hall and
Andy Burns
from Minnetonka, will face Spiece Indy Heat Friday at 8:50 and Team Texas Saturday at 3:00.
43 Hoops, coached by Chris Carr, will face the Alaska Stars Friday at 6:30 and the San Antonio Roadrunners Saturday at 11:30.

The second 43 Hoops team, coached by Carr, will face the Emerald Pioneers Friday at 8:50 and Texas Express Saturday at 10:20.
