Spencer Tollackson Will Undergo MRI Today

Spencer Tollackson to receive MRI today

Spencer Tollackson, a 6-foot-9 junior center from Chaska, will have an MRI today to check into injuries suffered this past Saturday against Wisconsin. Tollackson suffered a hariline fracture to his left hand and thumb, according to his father, Rick. Tollackson will miss the Gophers' game versus Iowa on the road.

Spencer Tollackson is averaging 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game (tops on the team) this season for Minnesota, who is currently 7-9.

Rick Tollackson told Golden Sports.Net that his son is hoping for good news from his MRI.

"It was a clean break and there will no pins put in. His hand Sunday looked like someone took a rubber glove and blew it up."

Tollackson is the team's main inside scoring threat and if he is sidelined for an extended period, more pressure will be put on sophomore Jonathan Williams and freshman Bryce Webster. The two combine for just 2.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
