Maple Grove OL Ryan Wynn Commits to Gophers

Ryan Wynn, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound offensive lineman from Maple Grove (MN) High, has committed to Minnesota, according to sources close to the program. Wynn was named to the Northwest Suburban All-Conference team as a junior as he led the Crimson to 9-1 mark before losing to eventual state champion Wayzata in the section playoffs.

Ryan Wynn also plays basketball for the Crimson. Maple Grove, which advanced to the state tournament last season, is just 10-15 this season. Wynn is averaging 4.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season. He is shooting 49% from the field and 64% from the line. Maple Grove faces Osseo in the first round of the playoffs Wednesday night. Ironically, Wynn played football at Osseo as a sophomore before transferring.

Wynn attended the Gophers' Junior Day and caught the Minnesota game versus Iowa. Wynn committed to Minnesota on Saturday. Recommended Stories
