Texas DB Preston Fuller to Visit Minnesota
Nimitz is loaded with Division I talent, including Julius Howard, who is visiting Washington State this weekend and David Watkins. Minnesota Gopher assistant coach Kerry Cooks attended Nimitz and is hoping to land some talent at his alma mater.
Older brother Phillip graduated from Nimitz in 2002 as the school's all-time rushing leader. The four-year starter gained more than 4,300 yards.
Phillip earned a scholarship to Wisconsin despite having suffered a season-ending knee injury midway through his senior season. Phillip has returned to the area after seeing limited playing time at Wisconsin. Phillips is attending North Lake College in Irving and plans to transfer to Southeastern Oklahoma State.
"Phillip Fuller was as good as any running back in the state his senior year, but Preston is more of a versatile player," Nimitz coach Mike Farda told the Dallas Morning News. "Preston excels on both sides of the ball."
