Sam Scroggins Transfers to SE Missouri State
Scroggins was a two-time all-conference selection who had 14 receptions for 210 yards with two scores during his career. He was named team captain prior to 2003 campaign and was a honor roll student.
Southeast opens the season on Thursday, Sept. 1, hosting highly ranked Southern Illinois, in a 6 p.m. game that will serve as the 75th anniversary of Houck Stadium, which opened on Oct. 3, 1930, when Southeast hosted Southern Illinois. Southeast was 3-8 last season.
Scroggins will join recent Wake Forest transfer Aaron McKenzie, a 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive tackle to improve a defense that allowed 40.4 points and 492.8 yard per game.
