Vincent Grier Named Offensive Player of the Week

Vincent Grier, a 6-foot-5, 207-pound junior college transfer from Dixie State (UT) CC, was named GoldenSports.Net/Jeff Belzer Gopher Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of February 13th. It was the eighth time this season that Grier has won the honor. Grier scored 53 points in two games for the Gophers, who finished the week 0-2.

Vincent Grier, who won the GoldenSports.Net/Jeff Belzer Gopher Offensive Player of the Week, made nine of 16 shots from the field and was 12 of 14 from the line as he scored a game-high 32 points in a 55-53 loss to Northwestern. Grier added seven rebounds in the loss.

Grier made eight of 19 shots from the field in the Gophers’ 71-56 road loss to Indiana.

He scored a game-high 21 points in the second half. Grier added three rebounds.

The Gophers face Ohio State Saturday afternoon.
