Eslinger named second team Academic All-American

Minnesota Gopher center Greg Eslinger was named CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) second-team Academic All-American. Eslinger was recently named first-team All-Big Ten by both the league coaches and media.

Greg Eslinger, a 6-foot-3, 285-pound junior center from Bismarck, is majoring in Inter-College Program and carries a 3.57 cumulative grade point average. Eslinger is a candidate for the Rimington Award for the top center in the country. He was a third-team All-American by the Associated Press last year, becoming the second All-American center coached by Glen Mason (Ben Hamilton). Eslinger was also a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and the media last season.
