Matt Spaeth, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound sophomore tight end, was named GoldenSports.Net/Outback Steakhouse's Gopher Offensive Player of the Week. Spaeth caught six passes for 95 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 30-21 loss to Indiana.

Matt Spaeth, who won the GoldenSports.Net/Outback Steakhouse Gopher Offensive Player of the Week, caught a 1-yard touchdown pass to cap off a seven-play, 66-yard drive. That score put the Gophers up 14-0. He scored his second touchdown on an 2-yard pass. The score capped off a five-play, 80-yard drive.

 

Spaeth has caught 19 passes for 252 yards (13.3 yard per catch) with four touchdowns. He is third on the team in receptions

 

There are nine Outback Steakhouse locations in Minnesota: Bloomington, Burnsville, Coon Rapids, Eden Prairie, Inver Grove Heights, Maplewood, Rochester, Roseville and St. Cloud.
