Gopher recruit Lester Graham has change of heart

Running back/linebacker/safety Lester Graham of Fort Pierce (FL) John Carroll has had a change of heart after committing to Minnesota Wednesday. Graham received a scholarship offer shortly after the commitment and decided to make a final visit this past weekend.

Lester Graham decided to commit to Kansas State after visiting Manhattan this past weekend. He helped lead the Golden Rams to the Class 2B state semifinals and an 11-2 mark this season. He shined in the postseason as he rushed for a career-high 209 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-14 win over St. Petersburg Catholic in the regional semifinals and 164 yards and three scores versus Clearwater Central Catholic. Graham leads the Rams with 1,243 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He returned an interception 80 yards for the Rams' lone score in their state semifinal loss.

Graham scored two touchdowns in the 10th annual Outback Steakhouse Treasure Coast High School All-Star Football Game last Saturday.

He will see several faces at Kansas State. His cousin, wide receiver Cedric Wilson, also recently committed to Kansas State, which swayed Graham to the Big 12 school, once they offered a scholarship. Wilson also played in the Outback Steakhouse Treasure Coast High School All-Star Football Game.

Wide receiver Yamon Figurs of Garden City (KS) CC is a Fort Pierce native and friend of Graham. He signed a JC letter of intent and will also play for the Wildcats next season.
