Gophers use second-half run for 82-70 win
Kris Humphries has ninth double-double of the year

The Golden Gophers (7-4) finished the non-conference schedule with an 82-70 victory over Wofford (3-8) at Williams Arena. They trailed 37-34 at halftime, but used a 33-8 run at the the beginning of the second half to win this afternoon. Kris Humphries and Ben Johnson combined for 20 of those points to go ahead 54-43. Humphries finished the game with his eighth double-double of the season, with 28 points and 11 rebounds.
The Gophers struggled throughout the first half and trailed 34-37 at the break. They were 9-27 from the field and 1-7 from the 3-point arc. There were six ties and five lead changes in the first half. The Terriers shot 52 percent from the field and 57 percent from the 3- point line.
had 14 of Wofford's first-half points. They led at half by three points.
The Gophers came out strong after the break and led by 14 points with 6:08 remaining. The Gophers held Wofford without a field goal for over nine minutes between the first and second halves. During that span the Gophers turned a three point deficit into an 11-point lead with 12:43 left in the game. Wofford kept the game interesting, narrowing the
lead to seven with four minutes remaining. But fast-break baskets by Hargrow and Johnson and solid free throw shooting closed out the game for the Gophers.
