The Gophers received their 10th verbal commitment earlier this week, and the rest of the Big Ten is off to a strong start in football recruiting. The 11 teams in the conference have combined to get 141 verbal commitments to date. This ties them with the Big 12, which also has 141 verbals, but has one extra team. The SEC has 123 commitments, the Big East has 95, the ACC has 86 and the Pac 10 has 92 verbals.
