Coughlin Makes It Back To U-M

In-state four star linebacker Carter Coughlin made it back up to Minnesota for their recruiting BBQ this past weekend for a little and gives the latest on where the Gophers stand with him after

Eden Prairie (MN.) junior linebacker Carter Coughlin has been shooting up the rankings and recently became the the No. 25 outside linebacker in the nation and a four star recruit by Scout. That has only ramped up his recruitment with schools pursuing him, but he took another sec to relax as he went to Minnesota’s recruiting BBQ this past weekend for a little.

“To be honest, I was only at Minnesota for an hour and got to say hi to the coaches, watched the slide show and that was about it,” Coughlin told GopherDigest. “I got to talk to Thomas Barber for a bit. We just asked each other how we’re doing and talked about our previous seasons."

"Everything I did at the BBQ, I did when I visited, but Minnesota is definitely my #1 right now. I actually left before the good portion haha, so I didn’t get to eat the food. It is always nice to visit them though.”

The 6-4, 200-pound linebacker holds another offer besides Minnesota in Pittsburgh and is also hearing from Florida State, Michigan State, Mississippi and Wisconsin.
