One of the greatest boxers of all-time in Evander Holyfield displayed toughness and elite talent that dazzled many during his time in the ring. Now, his son in College Park (GA.) Woodward Academy sophomore running back Elijah Holyfield is drawing the attention of many and hit up to double digit offers when Minnesota recently became the latest to offer.
"He told my coach and my coach told me I was really excited," Holyfield told GopherDigest. "I like the way they run the ball and I like the Big Ten. I know of some of their past running backs and I would like to find out more about their school and watch more of their games this year. I think I could be a great fit for their offense."
The 5-11, 190-pound tailback has a early top three of Wisconsin, Ohio State, Tennessee right now. Still, he is interested checking out several places with one of them possibly being to Minneapolis this summer.
"We might go to Minnesota," said Holyfield. "This summer we have not set up a schedule for the summer yet. I'm not positive yet on any visits. I'll will know for sure at the end of spring."
