"I have been in contact with Minnesota and have been able to take a few trips down there, so I have heard from them," Morgan told GopherDigest. "The most recent (visit) came from probably a month or two ago and that went well. We went down there to watch practice and got to sit in the quarterbacks meeting, which was pretty cool. One of the coaches actually came up to my school and watched me throw a little bit too. I like Minnesota and I like the system."
"I talk to Coach Zebrowski and he seems like a really good coach. I think it a good relationship and he is a nice guy and is very smart in terms of how he deals with the system. I think they got a good system in place and he is a very big reason for that."
While the Gophers are letting it be know to the three star 6-4, 205-pound pocket passer he is someone they are watching, Morgan has seen several other schools during the spring in Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green, Western Michigan and Michigan State. He updates the latest with his recruitment and who is thinking highly of.
"I am very interested in Minnesota," said Morgan. "I think they are in there, but I am also very interested Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan. I don't have a top list at the moment, but they are pretty high up there."
If a Minnesota offer were to come, how much would that shake up the No. 45 ranked quarterback's recruitment?
"I think that would be very cool and definitely would have to re-evaluate my options because I am interested in Central Michigan," said Morgan. "I think Minnesota has got a really good coaching staff and a good program. It would be awesome to go there if the opportunity presented itself and I think it is a very good school."
This past weekend Morgan was in Dallas, Texas competing at the Dallas Elite 11 and he recaps how his performance went in the Lone Star State.
"I thought it went well," said Morgan. "There was a lot of great competition there and I think the big thing for me was just going down there and competing. I felt like I threw well and it was a lot of fun and it was a good camp from a competitive stand point."
He plans on attending Minnesota's camp this summer and is sorting out where else he could be camping as well.
Note: The interview was conducted before he received his Eastern Michigan offer on Monday night.
