"It went good," he said. "It was fun. Coming from Georgia it's a different change of climate. It was cold. It was different but I liked it though. I didn't really feel like it was bad at all. It was cool talking with the coaches and hanging out with the coaches more. It was fun. It was nice."
Two of the best parts of the weekend were taking in a Minnesota-North Dakota hockey game as well as an impressive steak dinner.
"The hockey game was a highlight but the main highlight was going to Fogo de Chao," he said. "It's this Brazilian steakhouse and they just keep bringing meat around if you have your card up. That's the best restaurant I've ever been to. That was a highlight. That was crazy."
Spending time with the Gopher coaches was something that Myrick enjoyed on his visit.
"It was more relaxed," he said of talking with the staff. "Like, when I'm talking to them on the phone I'm not [relaxed] I guess. I was able to talk to them and joke around with them. It was cool. Hanging out with Reggie [Spearman] and Brandon [Arnold] for the day was cool too."
Spearman, a linebacker who has Minnesota on his short list of schools after originally committing to Illinois, is someone that Myrick could see wearing the Maroon and Gold.
"He was cool," said Myrick. "He's from Chicago. He told me he liked it a lot so I'm going to see which route he's going to take. He liked it. They way he said he liked I think he can de-commit and come here with us."
Although Myrick is still firm to the Gophers, he will take one more visit before Signing Day.
"I've got one more this week then I'm going to Middle Tennessee State [but] I'm still committed to Minnesota."
