Tumultuous times have hit Texas Tech since the Red Raiders received, and accepted, the bid to play in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas Dec. 28 in Houston. Foremost, of course, was Tommy Tuberville's stunning resignation to take the post at Cincinnati.

It was a whirlwind courtship.
