Prep Career Highlights:
As a senior, Murray was named first-team all-state as a defensive back by both the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association and the Associated Press. He was also named all-southeast region by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. Murray recorded three interceptions during his senior campaign. On offense, Murray rushed for 444 yards and six touchdowns, while tallying 434 receiving yards with five TDs. He scored 27 total touchdowns during his high school career.
Coach Tracy Claeys' Take:
"Eric Murray's a young man from Milwaukee. Interesting deal, the fact that he came to camp one day, worked out more-so as a receiver. Towards the end of it we had him do a few DB drills. He wanted to come back another day and do all defensive back drills and the kid can cover and he's very competitive.
"We're fortunate enough to get him. I think the fact that him playing mostly offense really helped us in being able to sign Eric. He will have an opportunity right away, also, as a high school kid. He has the skills. One of the more competitive kids that we've signed."
