Recruitment

Lauer has not been invited to any other junior day events besides Minnesota's but has received some interest from Wisconsin and North Dakota State University.

Prior to junior day tight ends and h-backs coach Rob Reeves had been Lauer's primary recruiter.

While on his visit Lauer took a tour of the facilities and was able to get some one on one time with coach Limegrover but time was mostly spent in a group setting.

He was able to get a good impression of what the coaching staff is like. "I liked them, they seemed pretty down to earth," he said.

Two of the main factors when it comes time to make his decision are education and coaching staff.

During the offseason he plans on working on footwork and strength. Currently he is rehabbing from a knee injury suffered in the fourth game of the season.

Lauer does not play in any other school organized sports but plays basketball, baseball and takes part in a golf league.
