Philip Nelson Discusses Commitment to U

The 2012 Minnesota class is off to a hot start. Head coach Jerry Kill and his staff have already locked up arguable the state's top wide receiver and top safety prospects. Today he received a commitment from likely the top quarterback when Philip Nelson decided to don the Maroon and Gold.

"I knew there would be no better situation for me as a quarterback, and the coaching staff is so close to one another and they aren't going anywhere, so they are a very stable coaching staff," he said.
